Loganair gears up for September 1 relaunch

Scottish carrier Loganair is preparing for its first flights under its own right for nearly 25 years.

Flights with the new Loganair will launch on September 1, and the airline has announced a number of new customer initiatives to co-incide with the relaunch, including:

  • Online check-in from four days before flights, “offering customers the opportunity to check-in far earlier than ever before for their journey”
  • For those checking in at the airport, desks will now be open 90 minutes before departure (up from the previous 60 minutes) at Highlands and Islands airports for mid-morning, afternoon and evenings services
  • The ability to use mobile boarding passes on flights from the Highlands and Islands (already available on flights from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester)
  • Customers will no longer have to show photo ID at gates before boarding their flight, although this will continue to be a requirement for those checking in bags, and may still be necessary for customers who have an onward flight with another airline.
