Weather Disruption – 18.01.13 @ 09:45

Due to snow and freezing temperatures, the UK’s rail and air travel face severe disruption today.

Cardiff, Bristol and Southampton airports are all experiencing problems, with a number of cancellations and delays. Flybe cancelled flights from Southampton airport this morning to Amsterdam, Manchester, Edinburgh and Newcastle and no flights will operate from the airport until 15:00 at the earliest.

Norwich Airport was forced to shut early this morning but have since re-opened, however cancellations and delays are expected.

Airports such as Gatwick and Stansted are running but travellers are warned there could be some disruption throughout the day.

South West Trains have announced a revised timetable on a number of routes, due to the severe weather conditions.
